Field Service Technician Status: Full Time Location: Denver Pay for Performance Program About our Company: TechAmerica is a premier POS services organization that provides onsite, remote, and phone support to quick serve restaurants. We also provide hardware and software staging services and well as test new technologies for our customers and vendors. Job Description: If you are a motivated and talented technician looking for a boost in your career, this opportunity is for you! The TechAmerica Field Tech provides on-site field support to customers, performing installations, repairs, upgrades and maintenance of hardware and software. Duties may include setting up user accounts, installing system hardware & software, Troubleshooting and Technical Support. Will also perform after-hours installs and service when necessary. TechAmerica Techs work a 40+ hour week. Overtime pays time and a half. Training will be provided as most of the hardware we work with is very proprietary in nature but basic skills are a must. Requirements: • Network Hardware – Hubs, Switches, NICs, etc. • Network Wiring – Cat5 and Coax • Advanced Knowledge of PC’s (Hardware and Software) • DOS or Similar Operating System Knowledge • Basic Low Voltage Wiring • Knowledge of Computer and Electrical Test Equipment • Excellent oral and written communication skills with superior problem solving and analytical expertise • Good communication and excellent customer service skills, “customer friendly” attitude • Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks • Valid Driver’s License w/ good driving record Education: • High school or equivalent • A+ Certification or equivalent (Recommended) • Technical Degree (a Bonus) • Previous experience in Networking, Hardware and Software integration Contact Information: JJ Margiotta JJ@techamerica.net |
